Latif KERIMOV (1906-1991) – the master of the ornamental art, the carpet-maker and the carpet expert, the researcher of eastern medieval culture, one of the first Azerbaijani author of article “Safiaddin Urmavi” (1965). He was known, also, as a connoisseur of mugam.
When his life in Iran (1912-1929) L. Kerimov was an apprentice of Hosein Behzad (1923-29) in his workshop. Latif Kerimov always admitted that he was greatly influenced by Behzads personality and talent (Aliyeva: 52-58).
Latif Kerimov was the scientific advisor of mine (Agayeva 1979).
“After he crossed Jeyhun-river in January 1256, Hulagu-khan settled in Shaburgan meadows. He stayed there the whole winter enjoying himself with feasts and amusements”. (Kerimov, K.: 39)
